Dr. Tony Tran is a Houston native raised in the Northwest Houston area. He was educated at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry and is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Tran practices full scope Optometry which includes: Comprehensive Eye Examinations Contact Lens Fittings, Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases, Dry Eye Treatment, Cataract Co-management and Lasik Evaluations. Dr. Tran has been in the Optometry Field for over 10 years. As a child, Dr. Tran had decreased vision, which led him to the Optometrist. The Optometrist knew exactly what it was that Dr. Tran needed. He provided him with excellent vision care, leaving him with great results. This made Dr. Tran comfortable and happy. His Optometrist was a great influence, leaving Dr. Tran interested in pursuing the Eye Care Field.
His professional interests include Glaucoma Treatment and Management, Specialty Contact Lenses and advancements in contact lens technology.
In his free time, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with his wife, visiting various cultural events throughout Houston, he enjoys all of the Houston sports teams, participating in sports activities, working on cars, exploring restaurants and hanging out with friends. He is a huge fan of The Rockets and Texans! Dr. Tran is not only fluent in English but fluent in Vietnamese as well.
Dr. Tran grew up on the Southwest side of Houston but has had the experience of living throughout Houston. She had once lived in the Galleria Area as well as Energy Corridor and currently resides in Katy. Dr. Tran attended the University of Houston Main Campus for undergrad and graduated in 2007 with a Biology major and Chemistry minor. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry to graduate in 2012 (Suma Cum Laude). She has been working in the Optometry field since 2005, starting as an Optometrist Assistant but became fully invested when she started Optometry school in 2008. Dr. Tran has been wearing glasses since the third grade and was always intrigued with how the eye and vision works. She says she’ll never forget how amazing it was to be able to put on glasses and see clearly for the first time and after this, knowing she wanted to help others improve their vision. Dr. Tran specializes in Glaucoma Treatment and Management, Cataract Co-Management, Lasik Evaluation, Dry Eye Treatment and treating red eyes and all contact lens complications. She also fits soft and hard contact lenses! Dr. Tran is very passionate about helping people see their best! Dr. Tran is not only fluent in English but fluent in Vietnamese as well.
In her spare time, she really enjoys reading a good book, hanging out with her family and friends and traveling with her husband, crossing places off of their Bucket List. Patches is her Shih-Tzu, that’s another joyous thing she likes to invest her spare time into! What Dr. Lan Tran loves to do most out of all of the above, is spend quality time with her beautiful baby girl Elena.

Alicia has been in the Optical Field for over 3 years and has fallen in love with the variety of challenges and opportunities. She was pursuing a Business Administration Degree in College but states she’s is much happier doing on the job training here at Texas State Optical. Her career goals are to make the Willowbrook office the best store it can be. Her favorite part about her job is working alongside her co-workers as well as interacting with all of the patients. She is very versatile and is willing and happily able to assist however she can. Alicia is not only fluent in English but is fluent in Spanish as well. Her proudest accomplishment is how far she has come and where she is at now. She was once a foster child and is now an accomplished, happily married, General Manager who is dedicated to her career. Alicia loves spending time with her husband of over 11 years, watching movies and enjoys the Houston City life. She also enjoys spending time with her family and going to different events, such as concerts. Alicia considers herself a major “foodie”, she loves trying out new places. At the moment she is completely obsessed with Vietnamese Cuisine and fresh Sushi. Her favorite childhood memory is the biweekly trips she took with her mother to the Farmers Market and Bakery. Alicia is a firm believer of what you put into life, is what you will get out in return.
Deanna joined TSO in February 2007 with over 20 years of Optical experience. She enjoys assisting new and former patients with all their eyewear needs. She moved here from New Orleans, LA 10 years ago and that is when she decided to stay in the Optical Profession. Deanna thoroughly enjoys assisting the patients in selecting the best glasses to fit their faces and personalities. Her favorite part of the job is watching first-time glasses wearer’s reactions when they put on their new glasses. Deanna carries with her in all of her years of experience, great Customer Service and an amplitude of product knowledge. She is always equipped and more than happy to help with patients Optical needs. Being a wife and a mother is Deanna’s proudest accomplishment. Outside of work she loves family game nights, listening to music and watching movies. Her favorite pastime consists of reading mystery novels! Ms. Wright’s favorite quote is listed below, coming from the devoted Bible:

Rubi, works in Patient Services. Have a question concerning your insurance benefits? At TSO Willowbrook, Rubi is the person to ask. For benefit authorizations, call Rubi and don’t forget to talk with Rubi about Optos Imaging! She has great experience in the Optical field, always comes in with a positive attitude and is fluent in Spanish. Rubi has been with TSO Willowbrook over 5 years and is a student working towards a Nursing Degree at LSC. She plans to become a Nurse in the near future. Her favorite part about her job is the bond she has created with her co-workers. She firmly believes they are an excellent team who are equipped to help their patients with their greatest requirements. Rubi is great with all of the patients and is very familiar with all insurance plans. Her proudest accomplishment are her children. Rubi is usually with her husband and children in her spare time! “I miss my children being little.” Rubi states. This is one of her all-time favorite pastimes. An American comedian and actor, Milton Berle gives Rubi a quote that she admires below:

Crissy was formally pursuing a higher education in the Medical Field. Ms. Crissy is aiming to go back to school for Nursing in the near future. She enjoys learning the inner workings of the Optical Industry and applying the knowledge she has gained here at Texas State Optical while assisting our amazing patients. She really likes being able to help each patient and learn their individual personalities. “I want to make sure every patient leaves happy and returns for their next exam.” states Crissy. She finds the patient interactions invaluable. Crissy works great with her co-workers, providing excellent team work. She has such a willingness to learn and helps out wherever she can. Crissy loves to spend quality time with her family and friends outside of the office. Crissy states her favorite childhood memory is yearning to be an adult, yet not having to pay bills! Nina is currently attending LSC to finish her associates. After LSC, Nina would like to transfer to the University of Houston to pursue a degree in Pharmacy. In the future, Nina plans to become a Pharmacist or Pharmacologist. Providing great patient services and bringing a positive, professional attitude to work every day is one of Nina’s phenomenal contributions to Willowbrook Texas State Optical and the patients. Making the dean’s list at school is Nina’s proudest accomplishment. Outside of the office, Nina enjoys reading a good book, trying out new makeup tutorials and playing or watching basketball. Her favorite team is the Rockets! Her most favored childhood memory is all the fun she had on Field Day in grade school. Nina is very knowledgeable, loves interacting with the patients, putting a smile on their faces and always comes in ready to assist. Madji holds a Bachelors in International Business. She plans on furthering her education in Real Estate and enrolling in the Optometry Program. One of her career goals is to familiarize herself with customs and traditions worldwide in order to own her own business one day. Madji also speaks English and French fluently! What keeps her going in the Optical Field is the satisfaction from the patients. “I enjoy learning new things about the patients as well as helping them find glasses that fits them best.” states Madji. One of her proudest accomplishments is helping her first patient in the Optical field. “I was helping them find a matching pair of eyewear to fit some lenses for their grandmother who wanted to see the family for the last time.” says Madji. During Madji’s spare time she usually watches movies or attends outdoor activities with her family. Madji’s favorite childhood memory is traveling with her family and learning about new cultures. Madji’s all-time favorite quote is written below:

Alex joined the TSO family in 2014 and brings with him many years’ experience as a Lab Technician. He learned discipline and how to multi-task as an Eagle Scout in the Boys Scouts of America. If you have a questions about your glasses, Alex will get you an answer! Alex attended The Digital Pencil Institute of Technology and earned a degree in Real Time Interactive Simulation. He is seeking a career in engineering, “A challenging position at a Space Program related company.” states Alex. He would like to align his experience to earn an opportunity to travel to Space. Alex’s favorite part of his job is helping the patients in need. He puts a lot of time into his work with many skills and much knowledge. Alex will provide you with excellent customer service! His proudest accomplishment is taking apart his first motorcycle to paint it and reassemble it all within two weeks. Another one of his greatest accomplishments is swapping motors in his sports car! Outside of work, Alex likes to: spend quality time with his family and friends, work on mechanical things, play guitar, play games and visit parks. A favorite pastime of Alex’s is going camping and hiking in the mountains.
